SpanStudio

A live studio for your Mac.

SpanStudio brings cameras, your screen, and your phone into one canvas. Mix your audio, then record to a file or go live — all processed on your Mac.

Features

A control room, minus the rig.

  • Scenes & sources

Compose scenes from your cameras, your screen or a window, an Android phone, plus image, text, and color overlays. Arrange, crop, and switch with cut or fade.

  • Record & go live

Record straight to a file, or stream over RTMP to YouTube, Twitch, or any destination you choose. An always-on replay buffer lets you save the last moments instantly.

  • Built-in audio mixer

Mix your microphone and your computer's system audio with per-source gain, mute, solo, and monitoring. Everything stays in lip-sync with the video.

  • Phone as a camera

Use your Android phone as a sharp camera source over USB or Wi-Fi via the Spancam app — all the heavy processing happens on your Mac, so your phone stays cool.

  • Eye-contact & teleprompter

Optional on-device eye-contact correction keeps you looking into the lens, and a built-in teleprompter follows your voice as you speak. Nothing is uploaded.

  • Private by design

No accounts, no ads, no trackers, no servers. Your video and audio are processed on your Mac and never leave it — unless you choose to record or go live.

How it works

From sources to stream in four steps.

  1. 1

    Install on Mac

Download SpanStudio from the Mac App Store and grant camera, microphone, and screen access the first time.

  2. 2

    Add sources

Add your camera, screen, phone, or overlays to a scene and arrange them on the canvas.

  3. 3

    Mix your audio

Bring in your mic and system audio, then set levels in the built-in mixer.

  4. 4

    Record or go live

Record to a file or stream over RTMP to the destination of your choice.
